Wicklow Room

1 QUEEN BED . 1 BATH

County Wicklow on the east coast of Ireland, south of Dublin, is at the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East and is one of its most scenic locations; offering a journey through 5000 years of history with the stunning backdrop of the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea.

The Byrne family emigrated from County Wicklow in 1848. Great, great grandfather Patrick Byrne purchased 80 acres of homestead land just east of Hazel Green, WI. Thus began the journey of the Byrne family of today—-Wicklow to Shullsburg.

The Wicklow room was designed and named by my brother Chris Byrne and his wife Penny from Oregon, WI.

Located on the second floor of the Guest House, it faces Southwest, the windows provide plenty of natural, bright sunlight. The room includes a private bathroom, complete with a walk-in shower, hair dryer and plush white towels. The Wicklow room is tastefully decorated with golds, blues and silver, with white linens. Furnishings include a queen bed with a luxurious memory foam mattress, a couple of comfortable chairs for reading or enjoying your morning coffee. A beautiful cast iron clothes rack provides hanging space for your clothes.

You will enjoy original art and photos collected from family travels to Ireland.
